MEN OBJECT' TO DELAY OF INQUIRY. MUCH UNREST DISPLAYED. (Received 8, 10.10 a.m.) London, December 7. There is much unrest among postal authorities at Mr Samuel’s refusal of an inquiry into wages conditions until 1913, when a commission will be appointed after the Board of Trade’s inquiry into the cost of living will have been reported. INQUIRY PROBABLY ORDERED EARLIER. PREMIER’S GENTLE HINT. (Received 8, 12.30 p.m.) London, December 7. The Premier in the House of Commons hinted that ho would favourably consider the earlier appointment of a committee of inquiry into the wages paid to postal employees.
