ENGLISHMEN v. TOOWOOMBA. Brisbane, December 6. In the match against Toowoomba, England has lost six wickets for 340. The innings was then declared closed. Woolley made 99, Kin near 80, Hobbs 44, Foster 40, and Iremonger (not nut) 50. Fitzgerald took five wickets for 46. The wicket was good. NEW SOUTH WALES DEFEATS SOUTH AUSTRALIA. Sydney, December 6. New South Wales defeated South Australia by 361 rims. New South Wales second innings produced 362 runs, Minnott (not out) 87, Long 24. Bowling: Rees, two for 76; Chamberlain, two for 35; Crawford, three for 82; Whitty, three for 76. South Australia in their second innings, made 98, Hill (not out) 32, and Mayno 18 being the chief scorers. Cotter took five wickets for 47; Hazlitt, four for 34. They were the only bowlers.
