Francis Henry Page, William Henry Glendining, and Frederick Marshall, an ex-solicitor, were charged at Bow Street with blackmailing the Comtesso Han.il do Maui in Five hundred pounds wore obtained under a threat that letters would be published to her annoyance, written by Dan O’Connor, late of Sydney; and one Dohbie. It was stated in Court that the letters were not in the least improper, but the Comtess© was a nervous old lady.
