ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
A BODY FOUND. (Per Press Association.V Wellington, December 4. WlFile walking round the beach at Paremata yesterday a resident noticed the body of a man lying on the rocks, The corpse, which was badly decomposed,; was removed to Porirua. It is thought the body is that of the young Italian labourer Antonio Forratti, who was as the result of the capsizing of a boat near Paremata a fortnight ago. CHILD BURNT TO DEATH. (Per Press Association ) Auckland, December 4. Annie McNamara, aged five years, died in the Hospital as a result of burns at her parents’ residence in Grafton Road. The child was playing with matches, and ignited her clothes. AN UNFORTUNATE FATALITY. Dunedin, December 4. John Fazaterley, who was working on the Corporation electric overhead wires, was making a joint, when lie received a slight shock causing him to call out. Chas. Neville, foreman, married, aged 40, went to his assistance. Both men fell off the ladder to the ground. Neville being underneath, the fall causing his death .It is supposed lie broke his neck. The other’s injuries were not serious.
AN INFANT DROWNED. Thames, December 4. A drowning fatality is reported from Hauraki Plains. Two women and a seven-year-old child named Quarterman were in a boat pulling along the river, when the child overbalanced and fell overboard. Tho women saw the child rise to the surface, but were helpless, and the body was soon carried away iby the fast-running river.
