Dr. Jameson entered the reform movement against the wishes of others., Kruger played false towards the Reform Committee. He gave the, men to understand that if they pleaded guilty they would merely be fined. Instead they were condemned to death. Secretary 01ney’s intervention alone saved tho reformers from execution within 24 hours.
