Melbourne, November 25. In the Victoria-South Australian match, Victoria, in their first innings, made 553, Armstrong reached 250 and Carkeek 68 runs.
Bowling Analysis.—Rees, five wickets for 166; Whitty, three for 116: Chamberlain, two for 51. Armstrong’s score was a record for Victoria. It was a great innings, Armstrong scored freely throughout, and completely disposed of doubts regarding his form. South Australia have seven ’ wickets down for 131—Dolling (not out) 66, Chill 17, Down 23, being chief scorers. GUNN INJURED. Sydney, November 26. Playing on Friday, Gunn received a ball from Minnett on tho back of his right hand. He continued to play, but subsequently discovered that a small bone had been fractured. He will probably i>e unable to play before the first test.
