Judge Murray in sentencing prisoners for offences arising out of the snorts meeting, declared that the standard of personal honour in regard to sport in Australia had fallen very low Men did tricky, deceitful things not because they themselves were if low morality but because they lived, so far as sport was concerned, in m atmosphere seething with dishonour and deceit. There appeared to bo little honour and little chivalry amongst sporting people.
