RECORD PRICE FOR GREASY WOOL. Sydney, November 20. Greasy wool was sold to-day at lujjd, which constitutes a record. MR NEWTON KING’S STRATFORD WEEKLY REPORT. At the Haymarket on Saturday there was a large attendance, also a very heavy yarding of pigs, some 190 coming forward, which taxed the pens to tlie utmost. Prices, however, were a little easier with the exception of store pigs, which were on a par with last sales. I quote :— Slips and weaners 8s Od, 10c to 18s 6d, backward, sorts 5s 6d to 6s Gd, small stores £1 3s to £1 -Is, medium do. £1 12s 6d ; calves 3s to 7s 6d; horse £ll 15s; cattle dog £1 10s. Harness and sundries sold at usual rates. At the Mart— Poultry: A fair entry of birds came to hand, although the demand again exceeded the supply. Killing birds were ip good demand. 1 quote:—Hens 2s, geese 2s 9d to 3s, hen and chicks 8s; potatoes, table 8s to 9s sack, seed do 3s 6d sack; milk cans 15s. Drapery, furniture and sundries etc., sold well. The sale of privileges in connection with the Stratford A. and P. Show realised the sum of £7l 15s.
