CO-OPERATIVE WORKS.

(To the Editor “Stratford Post.”) Sir, —In' your, issue of last night a .etter appeared signed “Elector.” Tho writer endeavoured to make it appear as if'Mr■ Hine usurps the position of Minister of Public Works in Diis district. If “Elector” is acquainted with the subject he will know that only a small percentage of the men employed in this district are on ,-oad construction, tho majority on cojperative work being on railway construction, and the reason that large mms of money have been voted for Diis railway was in consequence of a promise made by tho Government that \s soon as the Main Trunk line was finished tiie Stratford-Ongarue line would be.pushed ahead. As a proof jf this, a great number of the men who were employed on the Main Trunk line mve been transferred to here, and also Die plant. It goes to show that the Tovernment-is broad-minded, and that there are no “spoils to the victors.”— I am, etc.-,,-, „ 1 . ..ANOTHER ELECTOR. . Stratford,' 17th November, 1911.
