PARLIAMENTARY HEAT.
IN THE NEW SOUTH WALES ASSEMBLY. . ■ STATEMENT BY THE PREMIER. ' '• ■ ; Sydney, November 16. In the Assembly Mr. McGowen made a statement in reference to the “Wade” incident, and practically admitted the Government was powerless, and intended to introduce as early as possible legislation so that the House might defend itself against attacks like Mr. Wade’s, the same ,as existed in the House of Commons and the Parliament of Victoria. s', ... Mr. Wade reiterated it was no use pursuing so futile a course, and advised Mr. McGowen to have common sense and drop it. He challenged Mr. McGowen to follow last night’s action by tabling a motion which was usually brought forward in such cases. The House proceeded on its regular business.
