BANNER ’MATCH. STRATFORD v. WEST END. , Five rinks of the West End (Now Plymouth) Club visited the local green yesterday to play the first mutch in the Taranaki banner competition. The -weather was favourable, the green in good, order, and the visitors evidently on joyed the game, although fortune declared against them. The ladies provided a toothsome afternoontea; \dliich was dispensed by Mesdamcs Morison and Sangster. A feature of the play was the excellent form shown by the' Stratford colts, who, in their first inter-club match, bowled with all the steadiness of veterans..
