VERBAL BATTLE IN SYDNEY. PROPOSED BOXING CONTEST, ■ TURK V. ITALIAN. Sydney, November 15. The Consular reports in connection tntfi the THpolitdn war led to a verbal battle in the press between a prominent Italian and a Turk resident in Sydney, ending in the Turk offering to put up a young Turk and a £SO wager for a boxing contest. The Italian is willing to - defend the honour of bis country, and the offer awaits acceptance. A LENGTHY CANNONADE. (Received 16, 10.20 a.m,) Tripoli, November 15. The Arabs at tlie Oasis cannonaded Hamides all day.
