The Government has received information from Germany that AA’ilhelm Gerach inis boon arrested by the German authorities at Port Said on a charge of murdering Coleman, at Duugog, ‘New South Wales, on November 19tli, 1909. Ho has been committed for trial. The charge was reduced to manslaughter, because there was no evidence to show that the crime was premeditated. Delay was caused by Gerach’s solicitor lodging a plea of insanity, making it necessary for the prisoner to bo lodged in a hospital for the insane to undergo mental examination.
