( In the Reichstag, Herr Breitcnbach, Chief of the Department of Imperial Railways, answering Socialists’ interpellations in regard to the casirissal of railway men on the ground of trade union activity, stated that unions of railway men would not he tolerated which furthered Socialist propaganda or regarded a strike as a legitimate means of obtaining economic or other aims.

Sydney, November 11. All the wool scouring firms have now adopted the agreement, and the men have resumed work, excepting one firm. SYDNEY WHARF LABOURERS. BOARD ELECTED TO SETTLE MATTERS. Sydney, November 14. Mr. Justice Sclioles, president of the Industrial Court, gave ,nis decision on the application for the constitution of a board; to deal with the wharf labourers’ trouble. The 1 teamship Owners’ Association claimed exemption from the operations of the hoard, on The ground that an agreement existed between them and the wharf labourers whereby the parties were hound.
Mr. Justice Sclioles did not grant the owners’ claim, and in ordering the constitution oi : the board, said the deep-sea wharf labourers, having an agreement, did not come within the scope of the hoard, and were not included. In regard to the coastal and inter-State men, the Court was asked to stay its hand to allow an agreement, which was being prepared, to he ratified, but Mr Justice Scholcs could not see his way to delay matters. Industrial unrest of the most distressful kind was' threatening the public welfare, he said, and the parties involved must he brought within the industrial law of the State, 'flic constitution of the board did not prevent the parties making the proposed agreement, if * desired. He recommended the appointment of two representatives from each side, a chairman to ho chosen afterwards.
The shipowners nominated representatives, and the men’s representatives will be ready on Thursday. M ELBOURN E THEATRICAL WORKERS.

The Theatrical Employees’ Association has given non-unionists seven days’ notice to join. If they refuse the unionists threaten not to work with them. OVERTIME STILL OBJECTED TO. Sydney, November 11, The wharf labourers again ceased at five o’clock. Otherwise things are quiet, and the position is unaltered.
