BAND CONTEST AT GISBORNE.

SMALL ENTRIES. (Per Press Association.! Gisborne, November 12. At an urgent meeting of the executive of the Band Contest Committee last evening it was decided that owing to the small number of entries received for the contest in February, to.extend the closing date for receiving entries to the 25th inst. The following entries only have 'men received:—A grade: Wellington Garrison, Westport Garrison, Newton (Auckland), Palmerston North and Waihi Federal. B grade: Masterton, Wanganui City, Whangarei and Gisborne. All efforts arc being made to ensure the comfort of the visiting bands.
