REDEEMING FUNDED STOCK

Tlic Lyell conference resumed today. JV was stated that there was good ground to hope that a settlement would he reached.
Melbourne, November 10. The report of the Mount Lyell Company for the half-year endeci September. 00th, shows net profits of £60,033. ri: 3 lower, profits wtro_ caused principally through a reduction of the output owing to the strike l and the increased cost of production. The liquid assets show a surplus of £388,892 oyer liabilities; the ore reserves show a good increase. Exploration work lias proved encouraging.
