EGMONT SHOW.

OPENING-DAY. (Per Press Association.) Hawora, November 8. The Egmont A. and P. Association’s Spring Show was opened to-day in fine but windy weather. The entries, though not quite up to last year, are entirely satisfactory. Cattle, sheep, and horses compare favourably with previous years. The entries for all classes total 1733, as against 18G7 in 1910. The butter-fat competition resulted :—A. H. Foy’s (Hawora) Biddy, 284 points, 1; R. J). Harknoss (Ngaire), Bundy, 256) points, 2; Mrs. J. C. Montefiore’s (Hawora) Merry Widow, 215 points, 3. Tiie competition for bast cow for checsomaking, combined with casein test, resulted:—R. D. HarknossJ 175 points, 1; Newton King’s Princess Galatea, 163* points, 2; A. H. Foy, 1611 points, 3. Judging is proceeding this morning. ' _
