Sydney, November G. A feature ot the Government's income tax proposals is tiro exemption of parents of families. Further exemption to the extent of £uo is allowed for each child under twelve years, up to six children. The stamp duty proposals provide the resumption of receipt stamps on payment of £5 and over.
’FRISCO STEAMER SERVICE SUBSIDY WANTED.
Melbourne, November 6
The Union Company has been in negotiation with the federal Government for a subsidy for the extension of the Wcllington-San Francisco service to Sydney. A definite proposal has not been submitted, and Ministers will not discuss the possibilities. *
