A SOMBRE PICTURE.

Reuter’s correspondent, who has arrived at Malta from Tripoli, paints a sombre picture of the situation there. He states that Tripoli is practically besieged, the Araos holding fourfifths of the oasis. Their retirement greatly discouraged the troops. General Canovas’ orders wore directly responsible for the slaughter of Arabs.
