RIVAL SHIPPING COMPANIES
Sydney, November 5
Mr Spronl, the Sydney agent of the Oceanic Steamship Company, declares that the company lias no intention of abandoning the proposed renewal of the Sydney-San Francisco service, owing to the* Decision of the Union Company to extend the Wellington-San Francisco service to Sydney. He know some time ago that the Union Company was likely to take this step, and it will in no way affect his company. He stated the company would definitely make the first sailing from San Francisco in May or, at the latest, Juno of next year.'
