CABINET MEETING.

BUSINESS TRANSACTED,

(Per Press Association) Wellington, November 3,

A meeting of Cabinet took place today, when the following business was transacted :—For Seacliff Mental Hospital drainage £5600 was authorised. Elans wore approved for a Public Works workshop at Auckland, and tenders were authorised to be invited. Plans and specifications were approved and authority given to invite tenders for the construction of a tunnel at Lake Coleridge Water-Power Works. Tenders were accepted for the piles at Tangarakau River bridges. Plans and specifications were approved and authority- given to invite tenders for police stations at Mangaturoto and Taumarunui. Tenders were authorised to bo called for road work at Tongaporutu to Mangaroa (£400) and Otorohanga to Otewa (£300). For Mt. Parnassus station yards, plans and specifications were approved, and authority given for calling tenders. Also for road bridge at Tahautara. An amount of £3750 for a Public Works workshop and store at Wellington was approved. The resignation of the Solicitor-General as a member of the State-Guaranteed Advances Board, on account of extra duties, was accepted, and the Valuer-General was appointed id his stead on tho Board.
