STRATFORD A. AND P. SHOW.
BUTTER-FAT COMPETITION. Record Entries. Twenty-three entries were received last year for the Butter-f aI; Competition, and this year this number lias been easily eclipsed, no less than thirty-one entries being received, which may be written down as a record. When it is considered that Stratford is situated in the very heart of the finest dairying district in the Dominion, it is not to be wondered that such numerous entries should bo received, and no doubt as time goes by and the local A. and P. Association grows from year to year a record will be shown in the butterfat class of competition, both for number of entries and the class of stock entered, that will not be excelled anywhere in Australasia. Some very good cows have been entered for the forthcoming competition, and as the first seven cows will be exhibited on both days of the Show the public will have the opportunity of seeing the best cows in the competition. General entries for the show continue to reach the secretary in increasing numbers and if a lino is taken through the entries received in the above competition the entry lists in all classes should show a great increase on last year. Exhibitors are reminded that entries close on Thursday, 23rd November, and to prevent disappointment by being shut out intending exbi'dlors should send in their entries before that date.
