After an absence of six weeks the above-named pictures are again to visit Stratford on Monday next, November the 6th. Guo of the star pictures to be presented for the first time in New Zealand is a complete series of views of New Plymouth and Mie beautiful Mokau River, which Mr Crust and Mr Newham, cinematographer, have just completed. Too picture is a lengthy one, and a few of the titles as thrown on the screen will 1)0 t!ie arrival of the 5.25 train it New Plymouth. “The Recreation Grounds” (the premier natural grounds in the Dominion) showing its various features. There are also views showing a garden fete at Brookauids in the beautiful grounds of Mr Newton King, and a favourite picnicking .spot “The mooting of the waters.” Some splendid seascape scones along the coast of Taranaki ire given, and a stormy day at the breakwater. In addition to this, the Mokau portion is to be included. The greatest picture drama of the year, entitled “In. the Grip of Alcohol,” a moral masterpiece which is the talk of Australia and New Zealand at present, will bo screened also. This picture was shown last night at the 'Theatre Royal, New Plymouth, iml lon gbefore eight o’clock the management had the very doubtful pleasure of turning hundreds away. “Waterfalls of Niagara’ ’is one of the scenic wonders of the ago, full of distinctive charm, and unending interest, ind gives a magnificent idea of the extent and grandeur of these worldrenowned falls, fuller particulars of which will appear in to-morrow’s issue of this paper.

HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE

The alterations of His Majesty’s Theatre are going on apace under the supervision of Mr. King, the contractor. When complete the building will be second to none in the Dominion as i picture theatre. The management have decided on universal prices for the re-opening—namely, cushion chairs Is Gd, stalls Is, hack seats Gd. Those prices should he within Hie reach of all.
