(Per Press Association.) Wellington, October 28. The Council met at 10 o’clock. It was decided to insist on the amendments to the Workers’ Compensation and Native Land Adjustment Bills, with which the House disagreed. The Lower House’s amendments to the Post and Telegraph Bill were agreed to. The Christchurch Domains Bill was put through all stages. The House mot at 10.80. A amendment to the Coal Mines Act Amendment Bill was brought down by Governor’s Message, providing that all miners employed in or about a mine on Sundays or holidays, whether underground or on the surface, bo paid at the rate of time and a half, and for overtime above eight hours on ordinary days at the rate of time and a quarter. The Bill was recommitted with amendments, agreed to, and passed.
