A CYCLONIC STORM.
STEAMER’S EXPERIENCE. London, October 25. The Pacific mail steamer City of Sydney arrived at San Francisco. She had a terrific encounter with a cyclonic storm off the Mexican coast on October 17. The vessel was thrown on her beam ends, and badly listed to the starboard, the lifeboats touching the water. The City of Sydney put out to sea when the storm broke. The Matzaltan and other vessels remaining in the harbour sunk.
