Addressing the Graduates’ Association, Lord Demvan incidentally referred to Lord Dudley’s cabled statement regarding payment of members. Though the system bad been in operation for several years, there had been no reflection of any kind upon the honour and integrity of Australian members of Parliament. Mr. Fisher declares that lie was astonished at Lord Dudley’s references. The best answer is that Australia is politically clean.
