Sydney, October 22. Rabbi Cohen preached on the “Ne Temere” decree, and warned the Jewish people if they married Catholics they risked the loss of their marriage rights. The Jewish religion is strict in regard to mixed marriages, but acknowledged .that the law of the land ,is the law for them. ' A MISSING MAORI. WANTED BY THE POLICE. (Per Press Association.) New Plymouth, 'October 23. A well-known Maori named Nod Skipper has been missing since the 12th inst. The polide want him to answer a charge of being unlawfully on licensed premises, Imt circumstances point to the possibility of suicide or accident, as he had borrowed a neighbour’s gun. A search party failed tp line! any trace of him.
