WEST’S PICTURES
An excellent all-round programme was submitted at the Town Hall last night. “The Conspirators,” a romantic drama of the French Revolution, was a beautiful coloured film, with fine stage effects. “Messilina,” a drama after Pliny the Elder, was another coloured film with gorgeous groupings, superb mountains, and fine acting. “Ramona,” a Red Indian drama, possessed deep human interest. Industrial Borneo showed various industries in that country, including fishing and turtle hunting. One or the finest-industrial films seen for a long time was one depicting the making of a steel rail, all tho various processes being vividly described, the series of illustrations being both' interesting and instructive. Waterfalls iu Norway provided a series of magnificent views. “The Magic Fan” introduced some novel coloured effects, and there were a number of comic films screened, the best of these perhaps being “Twa Highland Laddies.” The film dealing with the Spanish army also formed an interesting seclion in an interesting programme.
HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE
Thursday’s programme was repeated at His Majesty’s Theatre last night, and will ho shown for the last time this evening, a new programme being promised for Monday evening.
