MONTHLY MEETING

The monthly meeting of the Taranaki Land Board was held yesterday. Present: Messrs. W. Armstrong (Commissioner of Crown Lands) in the chair, Heslop, Rattcnbnry, and i Kennedy. Leave of absence was to Mr. McClungage. Transfers.

A. Gooding, applied for a lease of section 50, block 10, Ngatiraaru. Mrs S. Myers applied for the same section.—Resolved to grant Mr Gooding a year-to-year tenancy at a rental of £l‘per annum. E. Tolme, ranger, reported on the; inspection of four holdmgs. Improvements required, £695; effected, £924. None in default for residence or improvements. H. T. Twiss, ranger, reported on the inspection of 38 holdings. Improvements required, £8475; effected, £16,295.
