At a public meeting hold in Whangamomona o?i Thursday last the following resolution was carried; “That the Stratford and New, Plymouth Chambers of Commerce he asked to urge on the Government the necessity of pushing on the Stratford-On-garue railway without delay to the Tangarakau coalfields.”
