KING EDWARD PARK

(To the Editor “Post.”)

Sir, —I have seen the views of the visitor who thinks King, Edward Park is capable of being much improved,, and 1 have seen the views of the' members of the Domain Board, 'who practically say that the visitor is, right, but who put the pertinent question as to the necessary wherewithal: but neither the visitor nor the Board' have taken the necessary further step of suggesting how the highly desirable improvements could be financed —it is no use sitting up late o’ nights planning out what one will buy when one becomes rich if further midnight oil is not expended on the operation of actually becoming rich. 1 beg leave to repair the omission of the visitor and the Board by suggesting that steps should at once be made to raise money for improvements to our domain, and there would seem to be no better means of raising funds and of giving every citizen a personal interest in tins valuable public asset than by bolding a big popular entertainment. The suggestion is passed on to the Board, with a recommendation to consult the recently-formed Operatic Society, who would, no doubt, favourably consider a proposal that their forthcoming production of “Pinafore” should bo in aid of our park.--—1 am. ofc..

CITIZEN, Stratford, October 16.
