The inquest on the body of George of the Harbour Board, who was Drake, assistant clerk of works of the Harbour Board, who was killed through running into a lorry as he was riding a bicycle on Waterloo Quay on Monday, resulted in a verdict being returned of accidental death, no blame being attachable to the driver of the lorry. Dunedin, October 11. A middle-aged man, whoso name is supposed to he Jonathan Mcllvoy, was taken to the Naseby hospital in an exhausted condition, and died before he could receive any medical attention. Deceased, who is said to have been drinking heavily of late, was a recent arrival in the district, and was going to Kyeburn station yesterday seeking work. He was then under the influence of liquor, and must iiave been out all night. Westport, October 11. At the inquest on the bodies of Thomas Low and Timothy Corley, victims of the accident on the WestportInaiigahua Junction railway construction works, both bodies having been found in the river yesterday, no direct evidence as to how the accident occurred was obtainable, but it was stated that the explosion must have been premature, as the customayy warning was not given to those working near where the accident occurred. A verdict of accidental death, caused by a premature explosion, was returned. Auckland,' October 12.
Miss Fisher, about 30 years of ago, boarding at Grafton Road, was received into the hospital this moaning suffering from Iy*ol poisoning and died shortly afterwards.
