NOTES

(By “Toucher.”)

Given a fine afternoon, there should be a good muster of bowlers on the green to-morrow'. Up to the present nothing lias been arranged as regards the 0. M. Curtis trophy, the present holder of which is Mr. G. Songster; but I understand that the entrants will be divided into two sections, as was the case last year. Messrs. G. Sangster and T. C. Fookes hold the Osmond Feathers, and are no doubt willing to try conclusions with any players with sufficient courage to issue a challenge. Stratford did not x-eturn Fitzroy’s visit last season, consequently iwo trips up that way will be necessary this season to make things equal. West End came down to play Stratford, but the match fell through owing to wet w'eathcr. Whether that will count a visit for the West Enders or not I am not prepared to say. Waitara’s visit to Stratford is now a fixture—Now' Year’s Day.
