"I'llo twenty-fourth annual meeting of delegates to the New Zealand Amateur Rowing Association was held last night. The balance-sheet showed assets £SB 16s 3d, and no liabilities. with a credit balance at the bank if £55 12s 3d. The number of clubs affiliated is 52, with a total membership of 2919, an increase respectively of one and 13. Twenty-four regattas were held during the year, comprising 177 races and prize money was paid totalling ,£I4OO. The New South Wales Association a.:vised that an • n an who competes for prize money, whether it goes to !ns clu!’ or to lumsel’h is not eligible to cote pot? in ir-U'-Siatc events. Tho Championship regatta for 191112 was allocated to Otago. The championships will lie held in February on Lake' Waihola. Tho secretary was granted an honorarium of £ls 15s. The action of the council in ruling that a boat builder building racing boats is a professional was endorsed. Sir James Mills was elected president.
