Tho “Excelsior” newspaper states that the Chancellor of Germany has extracted from M. Gambon a promise that the French banks will assist tho German financial settlement at the end of Soptetmher. Accordingly the various houses have sent £11,000,000 to Berlin, the absence whereof from Paris is causing some uneasiness.
