APPEAL COURT.
PRELIMINARY PROCEEDINGS

The Appeal Court opened to-day, Justices Stout, Dcnniston, Edwards, and Chapman being on the Bench. There was the usual attendance of the Bar. The Court is at present engaged in stating the order of cases.
The list includes ton cases and three applications regarding solicitors, besides a number of judgments deferred from last sitting. Conditional leave to appeal to the Privy Council was given in the case of Massey v. New Zealand “Times/’ and final leave to appeal in Samson v. Aitchison, the case to he sent to England within one month.
