DISSATISFIED COAL MINERS. HEWING RATE REDUCED. (Received 27, 9.50 a.m.) Sydney, September 27. Trouble is threatened in the Southwest collieries. Under the WagesBoard award after the last strike for the past six . months the selling, pi ice of coal has’been Ss 8d instead of, 9s 2d. This involves a proportional reduction in the hewing rate, to which the miners are strongly averse. A special meeting of the delegate board has been called. There is reason to believe that tne hoard will vote against the reduction.
