RUSSIAN PREMIER’S DEATH.
o CONSTERNATION IN RUSSIA. London, September 20. Tho King has telegraphed bis condolences to the Czar on the death of, M. Stolypin, the Premier. Tho Continental press eulogises the late M. Stolypin’s patriotism and devotion to tho Czar and Russia. St. Petersburg, September 29. Tho death of M. Stolypin caused consternation in the country. Theatres were closed, and churches are holding requiems. Ho will bo interred at Kiel! on Friday. M. Konovstoff is likely to succeed M. Stolypin. Bogroff received tho revolver from the Chief of the Kioff Police. The latter has been dismissed. Bogroff is still suffering from the, rough trots trmont of the theatregoers. Shortly before his' death M. Stolypin requested that his "room bo brilliantly lighted. With his last p remaining strength he raised himself in bed, and smiled on those around. Tho Czar attended tho mass for the repose of M. Stdlypin’s soul, and comforted tho widow and family. _
