(Per Press Association.) Pahiatua, September 10. A youth of about seventeen years of age, named Andrew Taylor, employed on a farm, shot himself at Kchitiui. He was picked up on Saturday morning with severe injuries and died shortly afterwards. It is thought he had shot himself the previous night. The suicide is said to have been the result of a love affair. Christchurch, September 10. The 'body of Mrs Charlotte Todd, who left her son-in-law’s residence in peculiar circumstances on the night of the 2nd or the morning of the 3rd, was found in the Heathcotc river yes--terday. Dannevirke, September 9. ‘ An elderly man named Daniel Baine. gardener to Father Cahill, was found dead in a paddock this afternoon. The body was fearfully mangled, apparently by a bull which was in the paddock. There was no witness of the fatality. An inquest will be held tomorrow. Hawera, September 11. Lilian Harper, the oigh-year-old child of Mr. William Harper, a sottier at Mokoia, was admitted to the hospital yesterday morning, suffering from burns. The child had got out of bed to put a piece of wood on the fire, when her flannelette clothing caught fire. She died in the evening from shock. ______
