The final was a great struggle between Arthur and <vcn Duncan, which the former von hy 2 tip and I. The bogey match was won hy L. Seifert ( I), 1 up and 1, and the hall match hy F. and ..s'. Seifert, 75—11—04.
INGLE WOO]) CHAMPI.O NS hi JP. The final for the championship of the Inglewood Golf Club was played at Inglewood yesterday between Geo. Gudgeon ami H. J. iVI. Thompson. In all 30 holes were played, 18 m tiie morning and 18 in the afternoon. At the turn in the morning round Thompson was 2 tip, but at the conclusion Gudgeon was 3 tip. In the afternoon Gudgeon opened very badly, and turned 4 clown. Tlio first of tnc final nine holes was halved, and the second went to Thompson, who, with seven tides to play, was 5 up. Gudgeon here asserted himself, and v on tiio next five holes, play being all square with two holes to play. The next hole was halved, and tne final also looked as if it would lie halved, out Thompson missed a short putt, and the lido, and with it tlio emunpionship, winch went to Gudgeon.
