WHARF PILFERING CASES.

(For Press Association.) Auckland, August 31. To-day John Alexander Mclntyre, the last of the four men charged with theft of goods from the Auckland wharf, was placed upon his trial. The case lasted all day, and at 5.30 p.m. the jury retired. At 10 p.m. they returned, the foreman intimating that there was no possibility of their agreeing. The case will accordingly have to be heard over again.
