TAHORA NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) - In spite of the inclemency of the weather and an occasional frost, there is considerable growth in the grass, and lambs are now quite a common sight. Although several farmers have had heavy losses with stock, yet now the pinch seems to bo over. A “dry summer” and a “hard winter” is such an unusual event that for this part of the district the death roll amongst sheen has boon heavy.
The roads through hero are very good for this time of year, and bid fair to keeping so for a while.
