FIRES.

(Per Press Association.) New Plymouth, August 29. The boiling-down and in aim re works at Fitzroy, belonging to Sole Bros., was destroyed by fire early tins morning. The origin is unexplained. A number of live pigs in adjoinin'* nous were also destroyed. The buildings worn insured in tlio South British for £2OO, and the hides, skins, and tallow for £125. The loss is estimated at £doo above the insurance. A thirtecn-roomed boardinghouse at Robot'll, owned and occupied bv Mr. Baker, was destroyed by fire early this morning.
