•• o (Per Press Association.) Christchurch, August 25. The Now Zealand Boxing Council iias received a letter from tne Northern Association regarding the report published in an Auckland paper and telegraphed through the Dominion, rolled! ug on the management of the Council. 'The letter stated that tJje reports were a garbled version of the proceedings, and were apparently furnished by a member of tne committee with the object of canting friction between the Council and the Association.

The Now Plymouth Association protested against the selection of ixagei ty to represent the Dominion at Brisbane in preference to Maxwell. I he Council uecidcd that as the Selection committee had a free hand, it was unable to interfere.
