LANCASHIRE V. MIDDLESEX. (Received 21, 10.0 a.m.) London, August 20. The cricket match between Lancashire and Middlesex resulted in a win for the former by 83 runs. THE GATE-MONEY TROUBLE. London, August 19. The Board of Cricket Control will leave the counties to inako their own arrangements in regard to their share of gate money in the Australian and Soutli African/ matches, but recommends that if after the second test neither side has an advantage, the third match should be played out. Playing against Yorkshire, Hayward scored 177.
