TUTUTAWA NOTES.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) The Mangaehu School held a very successful .social and dance in the 'I ututawa Hall since writing last. Those interested in getting up the social cannot hut help feeling gratified hy tlie results both financially and otherwise. The children contributed several items very creditably. The following are some of the items : —Song, Master Oil Walker, “Now Zealand's Sons’' ; stop dance, .Master lane Walker, very eleven ly done tor a hoy of five or six years; song, Miss Olive and Master Len Bennett, “Sister, (encored); pianoforte selection, Master Tncohaid ; song, Miss Nally, “Nobody Knows” ; broom dance. Master 0. Walken (a very amusing item and verv well done); song, Miss Bricked-, “When the Harvest Days are Over” ; song, Miss Dora Nally, “The Old 11 ustic Bridge”, (encored); duet, Misses Olive and Thelma Simpson, “Conic, Birdie, Come”; step dance, Mr. J. Norris (in ids usual clever style); song, Miss Nally, “Wo arc Just Plain Folk” (encored). Mrs. Norris and .Miss Nally played the accompaniments for the children, and Master Simpson for the others. The music for the dancing was played by Miss Dora Nally and Mr. Walker. Mr. •) ■ Norris made an excellent M.C., and kept the hall rolling until about 1 ii.m. An excellent supper in abundance was provided hy the ladies. Dr. Carbery and Sergt. -Major Dallinger visited Tututawa and examined nineteen hoys at the hall last 'Tuesday morning, and alter luncheon left for Toko, being due there at 2 o’clock. Mr. C. P. Barker and family left for their new home last Tuesday, and Mr. Barley man the following Monday.
