PROMINENT PLAYER SUSPENDED

At ii meeting of the Otago Rugby Union to-night, A. McDonald, a member of the “All Black” team and captain of the Otago team against the South Island minor unions team, was suspended till the end of 1912 on a charge of using an insulting expression to the referee in the match between Otago and minor unions. SENIOR PLAY-OFF. -■ It is expected that the Rev. Scott will act as referee in the match, Okaiawa v. Clifton, which is to bo played on the showgrounds on Thursday next. It is notified that for the convenience of visitors from New Plymouth the afternoon train from the north will stop at the ground.
