o Berlin, August 12. The heat is unprecedented since 1848. The river Rhine is at the lowest level for a century. Owing to the heat from forest urcs the picture gallery at Nuremburg has been closed, and the pictures stored in cool rooms, as the paint was cracking. (Received 14, 9.5 a.in.) Berlin, August 13. Three hundred and five infants ihcd at Liepsic this week through the abnormal heat.
