SYDNEY HORSE SALES.
Sydney, August 9. At the horse sales, in the Clydesdale marcs class, the following New Zealand sales were made On account of Mr Tubman, North Canterbury, twenty-one mares, at prices ranging from 34 to 80gns., averaging OGgns. On account of Mr Blair, two brought 50 and 55gns. On account of Mr Bainbridge, five ranged from 37gns to 50 gns. ; average, 46 2-sgns. On account of Mr Wilson, Eiccarton, six ranged from GOgns to 874gns; average 62gus. On account of Mr Ken.lry, Lymlfuist, three brought 50gns, GOgns and 72. V gns each.
Mr Tubman purchased Maori Maid for lOOgtis, and Lady Willoughby for 65gns.
At the draught horse sales 143 stallions realised £18,198, and 181 mares £8125. This is hr record total.
