CONTINENTAL BUTTERS. The market this week is distinctly quiet, and prices are, if anything, a shade easier. The weather during‘the past week has been exceptionally’ cold lor this time of year. We have however, had abundant supplies of vain, so that pastures are again in good condition. Advices from "Copenhagen indicate that the market there is steady, and quotations to-day has bean declared unchanged. Danish and Swedish.—The total shipments this week show a reduction of 1813 casks. Trade has been somewhat disorganised through the dockers’ strike at various ports, more particularly Hull and Goolo. ' The market can only be described as quietly' steady at unaltered prices. Strictly choicest Danish 118 s to 119 s. Siberian.—The arrivals this week again total about 16-17,000 casks. The demand has -boon quiet, and prices have, an easier tendency. Choicest quality is now quoted "IOOs to 102 s, choice 96s to 98s, secondary 90s to 925. ■ - v , French.—There is no change to report in prices in the meantime. Importations show some little increase, but trade is not what it should ho at this period of the year. Values in France still remain too high, and considerable reductions will have to be made before .business can be done in this country on a profitable basis. IRISH CREAMERY BUTTER. The demand continues fairly good, although prices are scarcely as firm as they were a week ago. Strictly choicest salted commands 108 s, 109 s, exceptionally 110 s, while unsalted may lie quoted at 110 s up to 1.125, secondary grades are still very difficult to move, and prices of these range from 98s up to 104 s.
